ABSURD IN VORKUTA —

It's a film photo series shot during the "Absurd Skateboards" skate trip to the city of Vorkuta, the Komi Republic, Russia. The trip was a metaphorical skate research looking for new ways to work with the shocks and frustrations of the current moment in hope for a better future. The northern mining city built above the Arctic Circle is one of the most distanced place skaters have ever reached. It suffers from difficulties and recession nowadays. But can skateboarding be a solution?
